Hello my name is Luka Vlassopoulos I am in the City and Culture district. As you all know we destroyed planet earth so we have decided to go to a planet called Auroa56z.

NASA has requested that you provide them with the following information:
Name:
ET express.
Length:
29,400 km Long its large but it will contain enough room to keep enough cargo and people.
Height:
200m.
Width:

Volume:
479,220,000.
Number of passengers:
7,003,019,800.2,334,339,934 people a ship for each ship there is 3xCaptain,30xCock Pit Crew,12xEngineers.
Cargo:
There will be six three for people three for cargo such as live stock, housing supplies and other needed
stuff
Landing system:
There are large bags full of air at the bottom that when it lands will take all the pressure
intill the break which will be when the space craft is nearly touching the ground
Materials used for main body:
Cork! It is cheap, it is good at generating heat and increasing temperature and
resistant to high temperature also, it is very lightweight.(Important for any spacecraft.)
Or titanium
Materials used for heat shield:
Aluminium 95% deflects heat deflects infrared rays.Because aluminium foil has
a low mass to air ratio it barley absorbs only 5% is absorbed.
Any other notes:

Hello my name is Luka Vlassopoulos And I'm going to talk to you about my arc. There will be six arcs leaving for aurora56z
Three will take people 2,334,339,934 a ship and the other three cargo.Cock pit is at the top in the dark blue area. With the
engines it will take three days so my idea is to not good to get comfey so just in case you can volunteer for work and you
will be located near friends and family so you are expected to take what you want to take we can't do a u-turn and head back.

Everyone will have a room But they range from this to a single bed and a bathroom. In the kitchen you get enough food to eat for three weeks plus
a few extra snacks. This is the best room you can get.

Waste
=

In the City and Culture district we are looking at reducing waste.
Ways to reduce waste
  • Instead of having plastic bags you have to have a re-usable bag.
  • Compost your food and garden waste.
  • Put a ‘No Junk Mail’ sticker on your letter box
  • Have a garage sale
  • Buy for durability not disposability
  • Swap magazines and books with friends
  • Give clothes and toys to charity
  • Don’t buy items with a lot of packaging
  • Buy products in recycled packaging
  • Reduce your usage of green house gasses.
  • Save money by cutting down on watching TV.
  • Send stuff to craft market instead of putting it in the bin.
  • Don't use computers, televisions, consoles and video games, faxes and printers every day and every hour.
  • Composting food scraps and garden waste will reduce the organic waste that goes to landfill.
  • Start a worm farm.
  • Instead of throwing away old tyres donate them to race venues for safety guards or make swings for kids and give them to you're kids or sell them.
  • Get a batterie recharger.
  • Buy toys with no batteries.
  • Soda, vinegar and salt are all effective, cheap and healthy alternatives.
  • Don't throw old oil out send it to the oil facility for recycling.
  • Recycle e-waste such as Televisions, Mobile phones, DVD players and printers.
  • Building materials that can be recycled are steel, aluminium, bricks, tiles and plastic.
  • There are different ways to generate electricity like solar energy, wind energy and magnetic energy.
  • Instead of sitting and watching films you power the machine running the film you power it with a bike.
  • We should bring in a waste tax for families.Something like for each gram of waste you have to pay $0.50.
  • Items that should be recycled are glass bottles, jars, aluminum, steel pots and pans, steel cans, aerosol cans, newspaper, cardboard, paper, milk and juice cartons, plastic bottles and containers.
  • An alternative to oil there is a way that is a bit difficult is alcohol in china and brazil I have heard that some people have used alcohol as fuel.
  • Instead of using mining we use recycled metal.
  • We can space dump.We dump the waste in space or on other planets so we have more room on our planet to put waste.

Types Of Disposal Systems

Pros

Cons

Landfill

  • Able to hold large amounts of waste in inert conditions.

  • Specific location that can be monitored.

  • Properly managed landfill sites can capture gas (methane).
  • Releases high amounts of methane into the air and the water.

  • Horrible odours and visual impacts to surrounding communities.

  • Difficult to prevent the chemicals from leeching into surrounding atmosphere

  • Landfill can attract creature, mice, racoons, rats etc;

  • Increases chances of global warming.

  • Taking away lots of land, including habitats for animals.

Dumping Waste At Sea

  • Low cost/Simply and easy
  • Very short term answer to the problem

  • Creates sludge in the ocean that projects chemicals into the water

  • Plastic never bio-degrades so any plastic in the water will remain there for eternity.

Biological reprocessing

(anaerobic)

  • Very low climate change gasses omitted

  • Gassed produced (methane) can be used for energy.

  • Recycling plant matter in an environmentally friendly way.
  • May still produce some greenhouse gasses

Incineration

  • Energy Conservation -A 250-ton per day incinerator can produce almost 6.5 megawatts of electricity daily and save about $3 million to $5 million in fuel annually, according to Terry Ally.

  • Waste Reduction -
They can greatly reduce the volume of waste in solid form by converting it to a gas form.

  • Community Impact - A horrible defect to the surrounding neighbourhood.

  • Air pollution - Highly toxic ash fly. Up to 190 different chemicals being projected into the air at once.

Recycling

  • Recycling saves energy, reduces greenhouses gasses and emmisions.

  • Recycling a single aluminium can saves enough energy to power a TV for three hours

  • Recycling a stack of newspapers three feet high saves one tree

  • Recycled aluminum reduces pollution by 95%

  • Recycled Glass generates 20% less air pollution and 50% less water pollution

  • It is generally good for the environment because you keep trash from piling up and going to landfill

>
  • Sometimes customers mix the wrong types of trash together, which makes it hard for the trash company to sort it out for recycling. Time consuming.

  • Sometimes recycling in rural or spread out suburban areas with low populations can use more energy collecting trash than is saved by the recycling
  • Energy Recovery

  • Exhaust from any power operated device can be reused

  • It saves us from polluting the atmosphere even more than we have to for we are using second hand power.
  • If the exhaust may be toxic, it must be utilised in a safe way.

Composting

  • Great way to recycle.

  • Can clean the soil and prevent pollution.
  • May only work in certain weather conditions.

  • Large effort is required to maintain a healthy compost.

  • Can require large amounts of land.

Space Dumping

  • Is a quick easy option to clear waste.
  • May collide with planets and ships, almost like a metiore

  • Turns into space junk
My team mate Miranda made this.

Minecraft

In minecraft we have built a recycling center, furnace room and a composting center

The Furnace Room In The Making

The Composting Center

We have made a recycling center a furnace room and a composting center but there all
empty so we are putting stuff that is relevant to the what we need in the building like in the furnace room we will need furnaces [Of course] in all of them we will need chest to hold items and torches to light up the rooms.

We are currently working on an energy recovery center. The picture above is of the recycling center we built it currently has nothing in their.
